According to data based on reports in local and national newspapers and news agencies, a compilation made by bianet revealed that male perpetrators left 17 women and 2 men killed, 13 (including young girls) raped, 13 injured and 13 harassed in April 2013.
In 2013 so far, male violence left 50 women killed, 51 raped, 78 battered and 68 sexually harassed.
In 2012, male violence left 165 women, 14 children, 3 infants and 15 men killed, 150 women raped, 210 battered and 137 sexually harassed.

* In Antep province, G.G. assaulted his wife D.G., saying that she warned him about his drinking. He reportedly punched her in the face and then smashed a chair in the head. Detained by the police, G.G. has previously been detained for domestic violence. Following her treatment, D.G. was discharged from a hospital.
2 April
Murder
* In Denizli province, R.T. murdered his mother-in-law Münire Balı and father-in-law Aziz Balı as his wife found refuge at their apartment due to domestic violence. While the wife survived the shooting, R.T. committed suicide after the incident.
Battery-Assault
* In Samsun province, M.Ö. (18) assaulted his lover S.Ö. (19) with a knife, cutting her throat. S.Ö. survived the incident after hospitalization and surgery. A court arrested M.Ö. for “attempted premeditated murder”. It turned out that he also threatened her with death several times.
3 April
Rape
* In İstanbul province, restaurant delivery agent A.E.Y. (33) assaulted and sexually harassed V.D.Z. (21) in an elevator. Upon the woman’s complaint, A.E.Y. was arrested for “qualified sexual assault”. Prosecutors charged him with prison sentence up to 12 years.
Male to male violence
* In İstanbul province, D.T. (25) murdered Ahmet Özdemir (35) after having harassed Özdemir’s sister R.Ö. (31) who was severely injured after the incident. It turned out that surveillance cameras recorded the incident. D.T. ran away.
4 April
Rape
* In İstanbul province, F.D. raped his brother’s wife who was 8 months pregnant. F.D. was arrested by a court. It turned out that he was previously convicted of sexual abuse and released within the third row of judicial reforms in Turkey.

* In İzmir province, Ş.S. assaulted his ex-wife S.Ş. (33) with a knife, leaving her severely injured.
6 April
Murder
* In İzmir province, A.İ. murdered his ex-wife Hülya Aydın with knife. It turned out that the woman has been harassed by her boss for while and a court issued protection measures. Upon that ruling, boss S.Ş. reportedly called A.İ., saying that “he had had an affair with his ex-wife and they would marry if he wasn’t between them”. A.İ. allegedly used this motive for the murder. A.İ. ran away first and surrendered to police a couple of days after the incident.
7 April

* In Samsun province, Ü.B. (24) raped his Facebook friend H.S. (16) in the woods. A court arrested Ü.B.
Harassment
* In Ordu province, M.K. broke into a female student’s room in a high school student residence. Captured briefly after, M.K. was released by prosecutors.
9 April
Murder
* In Antalya province, M.P. murdered his lover Şule Seçil Tengir (37) and her friend Hürrem Babaoğlu with a shotgun. It turned out that Tengir left M.P. after finding out that he was married. Following the incident, M.P. attempted to commit suicide. Previously, Tengir filed a threat complaint to prosecutors on M.P., showing Babaoğlu as her witness.

* In Çanakkale province, N.Ç. (35) assaulted his ex-wife Y.E. (32) with a knife whom he met on the street despite the restraint order. While Y.E. was injured, N.Ç. surrendered to the police.
10 April

* In Antalya province, B.A. assaulted his ex-wife A.İ. (38) with a pistol, leaving her with kidney damage. While A.İ.‘s situation still remained critical, B.A. ran away.
* In Samsun province, E.E. (42) assaulted his wife N.E. (39) with a knife. Police detained E.E.
* In Antep province, M.S. assaulted his ex-wife Ş.G. with a knife in the courtroom where he would stand trial for domestic violence.
Harassment
* In Konya province, D.Ü. sexually harassed A.B. (35) by breaking into her apartment. A.B.’s siblings seized D.Ü., tied him up from his hands and legs and hung him with hook. They called the police, however they were also detained.
11 April

* In Mardin province, M.Z. (25) murdered his sister Gülcan Zengin (33) and her future concubine-holder husband Celal Özgün (53) with a pistol. M.Z. surrendered to the police.
* In Ankara province, V.K. (70) murdered his wife Meryem Köseci (70) with a rifle. It turned out that V.K. was a former murder convict who has recently been released from prison on permit.
* In Osmaniye province, Y.S. (27) murdered his wife Selma Alasırt (29) with a rifle. Y.S. claimed that he accidentally killed his wife as he was cleaning the rifle.
* In Konya province, H.Ö. murdered his wife Atiye Özkan with an axe. He committed suicide with a bread knife after the incident.

* In İzmir province, Ş.S. assaulted his ex-wife S.Ö. (33) with a knife despite a court restraint order. “We can’t be around you every day. We are not supposed to run after you. Let the guy see his own children,” a policeman allegedly told him when she asked for help.
* In İstanbul province, T.T.T. assaulted sex worker N.D. with a knife.

* In Kocaeli province, 29 men have been detained for raping Ö.Y. (13). A court detained 8 suspects including a petty officer in the army.
* In İzmir province, B.A. (19) attempted to rape his sister-in-law N.Y. by giving her sleeping pills. B.A. ran away as their neighbors came into the scene.

* In Samsun province, V.M. battered his wife H.M. (55) and tortured her by pulling out her teeth. The woman was hospitalized.

* In İstanbul province, I.D. (51) went to his wife’s apartment to convince for a compromise. Instead, he shot his son K.D. (22) with a pistol, injuring him gravely. His wife Emine D. (44) lost her life as she threw herself from a four story building to save herself from his shooting.

* In Bursa province, T.B.A. (42) sexually harassed E.Ç. in her apartment after presenting himself as electronic repair person. The woman assaulted T.B.A. with a kitchen knife. Upon the woman’s screams, neighbors called the police.
* In Antalya province, C.T. (55), a tea-boy at municipality, sexually harassed his co-worker K.T. (20) in the workplace. Upon the woman’s complaint, C.T. was fired. An investigation has been launched.

* In Mersin province, R.D. (33) murdered his wife Kıymet Demir (26) with a knife.

* In Adana province, parking lot workers H.G. (32) and Z.D. (22) raped help-seeking A.Y. (26) in a deserted train car. A court arrested H.G. and Z.D.

* In İzmir province, Pınar Yolver (19) has been tortured to death by her husband M.Y. and father-in-law S.Y.

* In Elazığ province, 7 men were arrested for sexually abusing S.A. (15). S.A. testified that 68 year old G.E. harassed her since the age of 8 in his apartment and other men benefitted from the situation after finding out.

* In İstanbul province, B.D. sexually harassed model T.D. in an elevator at Atatürk International Airport.
* In Kocaeli province, folklore association president D.Ç. has been arrested for sexually harassing a middle school student.

* In Erzurum province, M.T. attempted to rape his internet friend K.B. (17) in his apartment. K.B. defended herself with karate. Erzurum 1st High Criminal Court ordered M.T. to stand trial. He is facing prison sentence up to 22.5 years of prison.
* In Tekirdağ province, 5 men aged between 28 and 36 years old raped mentally-retarded N.K. (16). Finding out about the incident, brother S.K. (20) went to talk with suspects. However, they responded him with assault and rape. Detained by the police, suspects were released pending a trial.
25 April

* In İstanbul province, one man and four women stormed up the apartment of Dilek Duruş (37) and her partner C.D (55), murdering the woman with a knife. It turned out that suspects were relatives of C.D.‘s ex-wife who said they “cleared out their honor”.
Battery-Assault
* In Adana province, C.Ö. (36) battered his divorce-seeking wife N.Ö. (31) and attempted to throw her out of a balcony. Neighborhood dweller with a majority of women stepped in by throwing stones at husband. Police detained the husband after breaking into the apartment. The woman was hospitalized.
26 April

* In Tokat province, A.G. (37) raped M.Ç. (16) after forcing her into his car. Police detained A.G. upon M.Ç.’s complaint.
Battery-Assault
* In Antalya province, B.B. battered his wife O.B. and abandoned her in the middle of a road. While some pedestrians found the injured women in the morning, police detained O.B.
* In İstanbul province, T.K. and E.S., a couple, battered J.S. on the street. “We thought she was a transvestite. We wanted to protect ourselves,” they testified to the police. Prosecutors charged them with 2 years and 3 months up to 7 years of prison.

* In Nevşehir province, after being discharged from prison, D.A. murdered his ex-wife Hatice Sarıkaya (35) with a knife by cutting her throat. D.A. ran away.

* In Muğla province, M.T. (22) raped his Facebook friend G.K. (15) in the woods. After a complaint by G.K.‘s family, M.T. and his friends assault the family with a knife.
30 April
Murder
* In İstanbul province, Z.K. (59) murdered Hatice Çıvkınoğlu (39) with a pistol in a cafe. It turned out that he previously harassed her as well. He also assaulted a waiter with a knife. While the woman previously filed a complaint on Z.K., he was released by a prosecutor after testimony.
* In Düzce province, H.G. (40) murdered his wife Şahide G. by cutting her throat.

* In Diyarbakır province, S.C., a teacher, harassed his student S.Ç. in a park. A court arrested S.C. (ÇT/BM)
