France's president has accused Turkey of "criminal activities" in Libya.
Speaking in Germany after meeting with the country's chancellor Angela Merkel yesterday (June 29), Macron said Turkey was "importing large numbers of fighters into Libya."
"I think it is a historic and criminal responsibility for a country which claims to be a NATO member," he remarked.
Turkey's actions in Libya were "unacceptable" and "a threat for Europe," he further said.

Macron also denied the allegations that his country has been supporting Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA), one of the two warring sides in Libya.
Turkey, on the other hand, has been openly supporting the Government of National Accord (GNA), a Tripoli-based government recognized by the UN.
Ankara's military involvement in recent months has changed the course of the war in favor of the GNA, as it has been able to capture several key areas from Haftar's forces.
The LNA receives support from Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. (PT/VK)
