Ötekilerin Postası, a Facebook group dedicated to publish uncensored alternative news on Turkey's most controversial issues, announced that it will live stream a feature on Roboski Massacre which happened exactly a year ago.
"We are aiming to offer an alternative feature on Roboski Massacre, something that you wouldn't see in the mainstream media," the group said on Facebook.
Previously launched another Facebook group on prison hunger strikes, the group said tonight's feature paid a tribute to Roboski victims. The three hour long live program will be broadcasted through mobile phone cameras and webcams.
"We are trying to go around the censure on the mainstream media. We want to inform people on the Roboski massacre without censures. You don't need the mainstream media to get informed," the group said.
The group reminded the mainstream media coverage on the first hours that Roboski Massacre broke out with no new coverage at all. "Then they did so coverage but they were accusing Roboski people being terrorists and smugglers. This is why, we are live streaming tonight."
Several intellectuals and academicians confirmed to be a speaker at the feature including Koray Çalışkan, Elif Ergezen, Mizgin Müjde Arslan, Nazan Üstündağ, Fırat Erdoğmuş, Seren Yüce, Yeşim Ustaoğlu and Ümit Kıvanç.
