#LightTheDark exhibition will be held in Ankara on November 25 International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Curated by Ekin Kılıç Ezer and Fırat Engin, the open-air lighting exhibition, which is dedicated to ending violence against women, will present different forms of violence with lighting designs.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held at Seğmenler Park in the district of Çankaya in Ankara on November 25. The ceremony will start at 6.30 p.m. and be attended by Metropolitan Mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavaş, Ambassador of Sweden Annika Molin Hellgren, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen and UN Women Turkey Director Asya Varbanova.
Presenting the works of 12 contemporary artists, the exhibition will be open for visitors from November 25 until December 10 at Seğmenler Park, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The works of following artists will be exhibited: Aykut Öz, Ece Kibaroğlu, Ecem Dilan Köse, Efe Alpay, Ekin Kılıç, Emre Okçuer, Erhan Tunalı, Esra Koruç, Fırat Engin, Hazal Ünsal, Oğuz Akın and Zeynep Üçöz. This exhibition will be the first open-air lighting installation exhibition to take place in public space in Turkey.
