Vice Prime Minister, Numan Kurtulmuş has issued a statement on the bomb attack in Sultanahmet Square following Security Meeting at Çankaya Mansion.

“10 people have lost their lives in the attack, 15 others wounded, two of whom are heavily injured. The deceased are predominantly of foreign origin”, said Kurtulmuş.
“It has been determined that a body torn to pieces belonged to the suicide bomber. Resulted by delicate work of concerned units, it has been determined that the suicide bomber is of Syrian origin born in 1988 and that investigation into related networks has started”. (AS/TK)
