Kurdish sign taken off from the building of Ağrı's Diyadin district's municipality to which is one of the municipalities that a trustee has been appointed, has been hung out again.
Bilingual sign on the building of the municipality, which is from the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), was replaced with another one in Turkish only.
Following the incident, the minister Soylu made the following statement on Twitter yesterday (September 12).
"Kurdish like Turkish is our language too. Our problem is with terrorism. I've instructed right away. That sign will be hung out again. We think this is not right. We had already informed our friends about this. I believe a problem with the process is in question. Now if god permits it will be fixed".
Following Soylu's statements, the bilingual sign was hung out on the building again this morning.
The Ministry of Interior appointed trustees to 28 municipalities on Sunday (September 11).
The statement issued on the Ministry's website expressed that the trustees were appointed to "24 municipalities for supporting PKK-KCK" and "four municipalities for supporting FETÖ (Fethullahist Terror Organization)". (AS/TK)
