The delegation on the resolution of Kurdish problem in Turkey headed over to Qandil Montain in Northern Iraq - the headquarters of PKK.
Composed of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Interim Co-Chairs İdris Baluken and Pervin Buldan as well as HDP deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Ceylan Bağrıyanık from Free Women Congress (KJA), the delegation had a meeting with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali Prison on February 4.
On Wednesday, Önder and Buldan from the delegation met with Vice PM Yalçın Akdoğan in Ankara. It was also reported that Akdoğan and Önder gathered again yesterday.
“After we meet the officials in Qandil, our delegation will meet the government officials again. Later on, there will be joint statements. Therefore, we are unable to specify what is being talked at these meetings. I hope that the joint statement will be made as soon as possible,” Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair and also member of the delegation, said. (EKN/BM)
