Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: 'Ministry of Education will be independent'

Presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğu shared a new video from his social media accounts and talked about his projects related to the education system.

"Dear youth, the toll of the last 20 years has been very heavy in education," said the joint candidate of the Nation Alliance of six opposition parties. Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the most important revolution he is going to make in the field of education would be to make the Ministry of Education independent if he is elected the President.

The candidate who has also secured the support of the Labor and Freedom Alliance in the votes to be cast for the presidency said, "Education is a matter of life and death for all of us."

"We all know that education is awful in this country and that it paralyzes our children. Education is being blown away. The toll of the last 20 years has been exceptionally heavy. The Minister of Education changed eight times and the system 17 times. As if it is a puzzle," he added.

Saying that he is aware of all problems and working on the solutions for a long time, Kılıçdaroğlu promised that the most important reform he is going to make in the field of education is to manage the Ministry of Education according to the pedagogic rules accepted in the world and to move it away from political influence.

"The biggest revolution I am going to make in education is to transform the Ministry of Education into an independent structure like the Central Bank," Kılıçdaroğlu declared, again in a video shared on his social media accounts.

"The Ministry of Education will be a line ministry and will administer the organization. It will not have a political team. We will bring the best people together. A new government will not be able to ruin the whole system when it comes to power. The education policies will be managed with untouchable competency."
