Though Kalaycıoğlu emphasizes it is too early to comment anything for now, he highlighted the double-headedness in the Justice and Development Party (AKP), stressing that the real issue is "who would take it out" if this process is to begins afresh.
CLICK - AKP COMES TO POWER ALONE
"Resolution process is in the fridge now: We have no idea how it is or that it could be taken out from the fridge or nor.
"It is impossible to say anything with such obscurity, but it needs a real step forward for democratization if there is to start a resolution process because it got stuck in it."
Kalaycıoğlu also reminded that AKP has given no assurance about the resolution during the election.
Double-headedness
Prof. Kalaycıoğlu also told about how uncertain this "double-headedness situation" will turn into.
"Last night, those who claim to know AKP very well came to assert a new period has begun and this is Davutoglu's era
"If this is true, then there could show up a series of impact which everyone fails to take account, caused by Davutoglu.
"But if that's not right... There is a possibility of a call for the congress, signatures from some of the delegates are said to be collected. We have no idea how he would manage it by sitting under the sword of Damocles.
"But from now on, we can talk about an election he won. Then, with that process, it can be said that he gained a considerable amount of strength and independence from the President.
"Then we could see the signs of a real double-headedness..."
HDP
Ersin Kayacıoğlu also states that if the resolution process is decided to proceed, it will be highly unlikely that Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will be the addressee.
"Now we see a HDP, harshly-marginalized and losing seats in considerable amount. So, it gets harder for this party to bring up its claims after the June 7 election and to assert a legitimacy.
"In order to achieve this, perhaps there needs PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) on the other side. That was already what is intended, I guess.
"I don't know who wanted that but these course of actions led HDP to get increasingly marginalized and PKK to take a more effective role instead. " (YY/TUK)
