The Justice March launched by the Republican People’s Party (CHP) from Ankara to İstanbul is on its 23rd day.
The march started from Kocaeli and the group crossed İstanbul borders at 11 a.m.
Ahead of the march, CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu issued a statement.
“We are departing Kocaeli and entering İstanbul today. I am very happy and peaceful. We will have this march completed by Sunday on July 9 but we will continue our seek of justice.
“I’d like to call on the European Parliament. We want justice for everyone, we ask for justice from you as well. Turkey is not composed of the ruling party. We are holding a justice watch in Turkey, tens of thousands have joined it. More than half of this country wants democracy. Therefore, what is needed is to continue the relations with the EU, not suspending it. I hope the European Parliament will render a decision towards continuing its ties with Turkey”. (NV/TK)
