Journalist Sued for his Book on Parallel Structure
Journalist Ahmet Şık was suited for libel due to his book titled ““Paralel Yürüdük Biz Bu Yollarda” (We Walked These Roads in Parallel) which was published in December 2014 upon complaint of former Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım.
Ahmet Şık may get 2 years and 8 months prison sentence because of his book related to parallel structure, Imam Fethullah Gülen and Gülen Movement. Şık had been arrested together with another journalist Nedim Şener in March 2011 for allegedly supporting Ergenekon Organization.
