Journalist Karakaş Released

Arrested due to their social media posts against Afrin operation, which was launched by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) in cooperation with Free Syrian Army, nine people including Halkın Nabzı Newspaper Editor-in-Chief İshak Karakaş.
The court ruled for international travel ban and release on probation in the hearing held today (May 8) at İstanbul 28th Heavy Penal Court.
The released figures are İshak Karakaş, Abdullah Yeşilbağdan, Yücel Üney, Yaşar Yılmaz Altunbilek, Ömer karakurt, Tarzan Aktan, Murat Demir, Cevdet Taş, Ahmet Alanç.
Karakaş and the nine people were detained on January 22 and arrested by 9th Criminal Judgeship of Peace for “sharing posts that legitimize terrorist organizations against which TAF has launched an operation in Afrin”. (BK/TK)
