Journalist Emrullah Acar has been taken into custody.
As part of an investigation carried out by the Malatya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charge of "being a member of a [terrorist / illegal] organization", the house of Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Emrullah Acar was raided in the early morning hours today (November 19).
With his house in Turkey's southeastern province of Urfa raided, the journalist has been detained as well.
His house has been searched and during the search, the computer and camera of the journalist have been seized.
As reported by MA, journalist Emrullah Acar is expected to be taken from the Urfa Security Directorate to Malatya province.
