In a police raid on his house, Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Dindar Karataş was detained today (November 24).
As reported by MA, special operation teams surrounded the house of journalist Karataş in the district of İpekyolu in Turkey's Kurdish-majority eastern province of Van in early morning hours today. The police teams then raided the house and forced people in the house to lie on the floor.

Searching the house, the police have detained Karataş. They have also seized his phone and the memory card in his camera.
While the reason for his detention was unknown, he has been taken to the Van Provincial Security Directorate. Police have indicated that journalist Dindar Karataş has been taken into custody as part of an investigation conducted by the Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. (TP/SD)
