Cenap Kürümoğlu, owner of Habertrak newspaper in Tekirdağ, has been battered by two unidentified individuals this morning.
According to Habertrak newspaper, the incident took place in downtown Tekirdağ whenKürümoğlu was returning home from a local bakery. Two unidentified individuals attacked him with bats and battered him severely.
While the perpetrators vanished, Kürümoğlu got hospitalized in a public hospital with eye and eyebrow damage.
According to Medyaradar, following his discharge and testimony to the police,Kürümoğlu said the following: “As I was buying bread from a local bakery shop, two individuals who were hiding their faces with hoodies attacked me with bats. I fell on the floor and my head started bleeding. They ran away after I started screaming for help. One was short and other was tall. I suspect that this attack has been performed by the followers of city's burglars. I won't yield in to threats. My newspaper's policy will not change. This could have been the fifth attack, I wouldn't mind. They can even break the windows in the newspaper building. I won't yield in." (EKN/BM)
