Detained on October 20 in Turkey’s capital city of Ankara, Jin News reporters Duygu Erol and Habibe Eren have been released after being deposed at the prosecutor’s office.
Duygu Erol was released on probation with a travel ban. Questions about journalistic activities were asked in the prosecution questioning. The reporters were asked about their news reports.
Erol and Eren were detained in a house raid on the ground of a “complaint”. Detained in the same operation, Jin News editor Sibel Yükler and Mezepotamya Agency reporters Diren Yurtsever and Selman Güzelyüz were released on October 21, Saturday in the wake of their deposition at the police station.
