ISIS suspect arrested in Istanbul

Anonymous intelligence sources reported the suspect as one who acted as a "judge" in northern Syria between 2014 and 2018.

An ISIS suspect was arrested during an operation in İstanbul, Anadolu Agency reported today (March 1).

Accordingly, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) identified that the suspect code-named Abu Huzeyfe who acted as a "judge" for ISIS in Syria's Tal Abyad, Manbij, and Raqqa between 2014 and 2018, was in İstanbul.

İstanbul Police Headquarters Anti-Terror teams carried out an operation and detained the suspect identified by police with the initials M.M.B., who was then arrested, reported the agency. (PE)
