Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has responded on Twitter to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who said “We don’t care about you whining and clamoring in Iraq, you should know that we will go our own way”,
Abadi tweeted:
To @RT_Erdogan: we are not your enemy and we will liberate our land through the determination of our men and not by video calls pic.twitter.com/EAX8V6sIMR

What had Erdoğan said?
“In this or that way, 63 countries in total have been involved in the operation launched against ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) in Iraq. What they call coalition comprises 63 countries. There is a similar situation in Syria as well.
“Those who don’t like Turkey’s involvement in the matter to fight terror threat, cannot raise their voices against the other countries.
“If Iraq and Syria are in trouble, then it is mostly Turkey’s responsibility to put in effort to take necessary measures. This is a necessity of fraternity and neighborliness by definition. We don’t need to ask for permission for this and we don’t consider asking for it”.
Accusing Iraqi PM Abadi of “insulting him”, Erdoğan said Abadi “is not in the same league with him” and “Turkey will go its own way”.
