Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca expects the number of daily coronavirus cases to further decrease as the pandemic has "weakened visibly."
The next summer will be relatively more relaxed and enjoyable than the last two years, he told daily Hürriyet.
"We must grit our teeth for a few months more and we should continue wearing masks indoors and in risky areas," he said.
Turkey eased some of the virus measures at the start of March, lifting the outdoor mask mandate. The number of daily cases in the country has significantly decreased over the past month.
Turkey has reported over 14.5 million coronavirus cases and more than 95,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic. (AS/VK)
