Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, İdris Baluken (from People’s Democratic Party, HDP) and Hatip Dicle (from Democratic People’s Congress, DTK) from Kurdish deputy delegation to the resolution process held a meeting with Vice PM Yalçın Akdoğan, announcing that the delegation will expand in the days to come.
Different opinions on “public order”
Following the meeting, Sırrı Süreyya Önder announced that the Imrali delegation will expand and they would hold a meeting one more time.
“After [meeting PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan] on Imrali Island, we will meet KCK authorities [in the headquarters located in Qandil Mountain, Iraq].
“Currently, we can objectively say that nobody is wasting time, and we will not let that happen.
“The government’s perspective on the public order is problematic, we have long discussed this. We have different opinions on this. Negotiations don’t take place between parties with the same views anyways. Public order or limitation of freedoms are not acceptable. The government tends to see it as security issue, we see an issue with a historical background.”
Buldan to speak in European Parliament
HDP Group Interim Chairperson Pervin Buldan will be in Bruxelles on December 10 and 11 for a Kurdish conference organized by European Parliament and make a keynote speech on the first day.
Buldan will read PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan’s message addressed to the conference.
While some members of the delegation will head to Qandil Mountain, they will, later on, will meet Vice PM Yalçın Akdoğan in Ankara.
