Ill prisoner Koçer Özdal has been marked in 335th week of sit-in protests held at Galatasaray, İstanbul by Human Rights Association (İHD) İstanbul Branch Prisons Commission for ill prisoners kept in in Type-F prisons.
In the statement made by Prison Commission member Hatice Onaran, it was stressed that Özdal was handcuffed and tied to bed five days before he died despite having lost his consciousness.
Stating that they couldn’t receive a response to their applications for “suspense of the execution”, Onaran said, “After this process, Koçer Özdal was watched in front of international and Turkey’s public as he went to death step by step”.
According to İHD Prison Commission, there are 1,154 ill prisoners, 401 are in critical condition.
