The Metropoll Research company has shared the results of its "Turkey's Pulse" (Türkiye'nin Nabzı) survey for July 2020.
According to these results, if Turkey had elections today, only the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) could pass the 10-percent electoral threshold.
While 33.2 percent of the survey participants said that they would vote for the AKP, 20.5 percent said that they would opt for the CHP.
As for the parties having seats in the current term of the Parliament, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) could get 8 percent of the votes, the İYİ Party, which is in the Nation's Alliance with the CHP, could get 6.9 percent of the votes and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which is in the People's Alliance with the AKP, could get 6 percent of the votes.
In other words, according to these survey results, as these parties could not pass the threshold, they could not send MPs to the Parliament.
As for the two parties recently founded by Ahmet Davutoğlu and Ali Babacan, two former senior officials from the AKP, the Future Party of Davutoğlu and the DEVA Party of Babacan have increased their votes by a hundred percent since February 2020. This survey anticipates that while the Future Party could get 2 percent of the votes, the DEVA Party could get 1.3 percent.
