Speaking at Basın Kulübü Show at Habertürk Television, People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Demirtaş said that he could run for president in the condition that his party assembly approved his candidacy.
“If they are pointing me as a democratic and pro-liberty candidate, I am not going to run away from a president post,” he said.
“From my point, there would no issues. If my party’s assembly also approves it, we can announce our president candidate by the weekend.” (EKN/BM)
