Hürriyet newspaper didn’t publish an op-ed written by columnist Yılmaz Özdil regarding “Who the next prime minister should be” in Turkey.
“Continuity is essential in the state, which goes from father to child,” Özdil wrote, referring to PM Erdoğan’s son as his successor.
Last week, Hürriyet newspaper’s 5-year-long editor-in-chief Enis Berberoğlu resigned from his post after the end of presidential elections. While he was temporarily replaced by news director Fikret Ercan, an employment process for an editor-in-chief is yet to be completed. (EA/BM)
