The People’s Defense Forces (HPG) has claimed responsibility for killing of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Van’s Özalp District Vice Chair Aydın Muştu by raiding his house on October 9.
According to a report by Fırat News Agency, HPG in its statement issued yesterday (October 9) said “Muştu took place in district management of AKP in Van’s Özalp district and assumed assistantship of appointed trustees”.
AKP: He was killed in house raid
Muştu’s house where he lived with his family was raided by a group of 7-8 people on October 9 evening.
According to a statement by AKP Van Provincial Chair Zahir Soğanda, storming in the house, the group shot Muştu with long-barreled weapons.
According to the reports on the newspapers, Aydın Muştu died on scene and the attackers ran away by the vehicle belonging to Muştu’s sibling.
An operation was launched upon gendarmerie reported. (AS/TK)
