'How much did you know Armenians before Hrant Dink was murdered?'

Today, 16 years have passed since the murder of Hrant Dink. Dink was murdered in front of the Agos newspaper where he was the founder and Editor-in-Chief.

Journalism organizations expressed their anger and shame that the murder has still not been solved 16 years after.

The Press Council of Türkiye said, "We feel ashamed that the murder has not been brought to life" and the Journalists Association said, "Unfortunately the cases for those standing trial for the murder of Hrant Dink still continue."
Hrant Dink will be commemorated today again in front of the Agos newspaper, at the place he was murdered 16 years ago.

Agos, the newspaper Dink founded came out with a new issue today.

"We are commemorating Hrant Dink on the 16th anniversary of his murder. Your words, and your dreams are always with us... Şebnem Korur Fincancı, Mücella Yapıcı, Mine Özerden has written for Hrant Dink. Lawyer Hülya Deveci described the latest situation in the case. A letter for year 16 to Hrant Dink... You can purchase the new issue of Agos at newsagents," says the newspaper today.

Armenian writer and activist Murad Mıhçı wrote an article in Artı Gerçek. In the article named "How much did you know Armenians before Hrant Dink was murdered?" he is asking the public in Türkiye many questions.

Some more difficult questions:

- Do you know the first Armenian women who took a stance for women's rights here?

And now the most difficult ones.

- Why were Hrant Dink, Sevag Balıkçı murdered?
