U.Ö and O.D., two privates under compulsory drafting in Ankara lost their lives after an argument. U.Ö. allegedly committed suicide after shooting O.D. dead during a patrol shift.
According to various news sources, an argument broke out between two patrolling privates in Gölbaşı Ahiboz Gendarmerie Headquarters in Ankara.
Once the argument turned into a quarrel, U.Ö. (20) reportedly fired his rifle three times at O.D. (20), shooting him dead. After the incident, U.Ö. committed suicide.
Severely wounded and hospitalized at Gölbaşı Havsak Public Hospital, no medical intervention could turn U.Ö. and O.D. back to life. Their funerals have been transferred to Keçiören Forensics Institute. (EKN/BM)
