Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım has been released of the suit in which she was charged with “Propagandizing for a terror organization and inciting people to insurgency”.
Speaking to bianet, Yıldırım’s lawyer Erdal Kuzu said that her arrest over “being a member of a terror organization” continues.
Lawyer Kuzu gave the information that Yıldırım was being prosecuted over one file but in mid-September the case files have been separated.
Stating that the Constitutional Court (AYM) lifted Yıldırım’s parliamentary inquiry and will discuss the file concerning her arrest, Kuzu added that AYM’s judgement on this file will affect the course of the trials.
Yıldırım was arrested on November 4, 2016
Gülser Yıldırım was arrested along with HDP C0-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, HDP former Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who was relieved of her MP and HDP duties on February 21, 2017, HDP Diyarbakır MP İdris Baluken, Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik, Hakkari MP Selma Irmak, Nursel Aydoğan who was relieved of her MP duties on May 9, 2017, Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü and Hakkari MP Abdullah Zeydan.
