The Conscience and Justice Watch initiated by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) outside the Constitutional Court in İstanbul has entered its second day.
HDP Spokesperson Osman Baydemir said "We are here today to make the political power to abandon its policy of imposing pressure on the judiciary" and stated that they would continue the watch in the weekdays during this week.
The MPs holding watch and their demands
Heyet AYM binasında nöbete başlamıştı. HDP Spokesperson Osman Baydemir, Women's Assembly Spokesperson Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir, Group Deputy Chairperson Ahmet Yıldırım and MPs Garo Paylan and Meral Danış Beştaş had visited the Constitutional Court in Ankara yesterday (September 5) to discuss about the HDP MPs who had been arrested.
The group initiated a justice watch outside the Constitutional Court and demands "justice in the cases of the unjust and unlawful imprisonment of HDP Co-Chairs and all members of Parliament, and for the Constitutional Court to make a decision in harmony with domestic and international jurisprudence".
