Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP Nursel Aydoğan has been relieved of her MP duties, the HDP MPs protested the decision by hitting on the desks.
There was an approved prison sentence of 4 years 8 months and 7 days for Aydoğan on charge of “being a member of a terror organization by acting crime on behalf of it”.
Speaking on the subject, HDP Group Deputy Chair Ahmet Yıldırım stressed that the indictment on Aydoğan was prepared by the prosecutor who is under arrest within the scope Fethullahist Terror Organization investigation.
HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ was also relieved of her MP duties on February 21, 2017.
There are 10 HDP MPs including Yüksekdağ and the party’s other co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş behind bars. (ÇT/TK)
