Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Selma Irmak and Urfa MP Osman Baydemir were relieved of MP duties today (April 19) due to finalized verdicts rendered for them. Denouncing the decision, HDP MPs left General Assembly hall.
With Baydemir and Irmak, the number of HDP MPs who are relived of MP duties has increased to 11, and HDP’s number of MPs fell to 48.
In the past, Figen Yüksekdağ, Nursel Aydoğan, Besime Konca, Ferhat Encü, İbrahim Ayhan and Ahmet Yıldırım were relieved of MP duties due to finalized verdicts, and Faysal Sarıyıldız, Tuğba Hezer Öztürk and Leyla Zana due to absenteeism. (ŞA/TK)
