Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Siirt MP Besime Konca who had been released pending trial has been taken into custody in Batman province.

Konca had been arrested on December 13, 2016 as part of an investigation carried out by Batman Chief Prosecutor's Office.

She stood trial before Batman 2nd High Criminal Court on charge of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and "propagandizing for a terrorist organization".

In the hearing held on May 3, Konca was released pending trial with a ban to leave the country yet the Prosecutor's Office objected to her release.

Considering the prosecution's objection, Batman 3rd High Criminal Court issued an order to take Konca forcibly on May 8.
