Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Mithat Sancar has talked about his party's stance on the idea of nominating a joint candidate at the Presidential elections in Turkey scheduled for 2023.
Speaking to İsmail Küçükkaya in the morning news bulletin at Fox TV yesterday (September 8), Sancar said, "The HDP is open to the idea of nominating a joint candidate but let's not discuss the names now. First the principles and election safety must be talked about."
Referring to the declaration to be issued by the HDP on September 27, HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar said, "We discussed the elections during our work in the field for two months. We will discuss what we took with us from those places and will declare them to the public."
'Most frequent complaint is about electricity'
Mithat Sancar said that the problem that has been most frequently complained about in the recent period is about electricity:
"The most important reason for this is what happened during the privatization of electricity. Electricity bills have brought agriculture to the point of destruction. Farmers must be supported with electricity.
"When bills are not paid, the electricity of the village is cut. The necessary planning must be done to meet the irrigation needs of farmers. If you were an administration that thinks of your people, you would have done that planning. If you channel the resources to unearned income, pro-government groups, war and palace, this is what happens in the end." (KÖ/SD)
