Faysal Sarıyıldız, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak deputy shared the names of deceased people in Cizre district of Şırnak province in southeastern Turkey and asked Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu “Aren’t these civilians? If none of the civilians had died, who are these people?”
Prime Minister had said no civilians died in Cizre.
Sarıyıldız shared the named via his twitter account:
Mehmet Emin Levent, Sait Çağdavul (18), Osman Çağlı (18), Maşallah Edin (40), Özgür Taşkın (18), Eşref Erdin (60), Bahattin Sevinik (50),Suphi Saral (50), Cemile Çağırga (10), Meryem Süne (45), Sait Naci(17), Bünyamin İrci (15), Selman Ağar (10).
HDP deputy reminded a 35-day-old baby died since he couldn’t be taken to hospital and he was also a civil.
What happened?
PM Davutoğlu had said on a TV program:
“It is easy to walk towards Cizre but they can’t walk towards Qandil Mountains. Why don’t they say something about the death of policemen while they were going to Cizre in which none of the civilians died?”
“The curfew won’t be going on forever, after all. It will be over whenever it is needed.”
Minister of the Interior, Selami Altınok, stated 40 policemen and 51 civilians got wounded while two civilians died from September 7 to September 9 across Turkey. (EA/BD)
