Peoples' Democratic Party HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan has announced that she tested positive for Covid-19.
"For now, I will spend the period of quarantine and treatment at home," she said on Twitter.
With the Omicron variant becoming the dominant strain of the virus, Turkey has seen a drastic increase in Covid cases over the past month. The Ministry of Health reported over 71,000 new cases and 166 deaths yesterday (January 20).
