Hail, Storm, Heavy Rain in İstanbul

Daily life has been negatively affected due to the heavy hail, storm and heavy rain that started at around 6:20 p.m. last night (July 27) in İstanbul.

Fire broke out in Kağıthane resulting by a lightning stroking on a wood store and in Haydarpaşa resulting by a crane on a fuel truck.

Supporting wall of the Latin Catholic Church in Kurtuluş collapsed. Some people were slightly injured, no one died. It took 45 minutes for the fire squad to reach the scene.

As many roads were closed to traffic, some vehicles were stuck on the roads, windows of the houses broke, tress toppled, boats sank.
