The case of Gülistan Doku should be taken from the police's Public Security Branch as the suspect's step-father works there, the Doku family's attorney has said.
Zeınal Abarakov, the ex-boyfriend of Doku, is the only suspect in the case. E.Y., his stepfather, is a police officer at the Public Security Branch.

New information has been revealed in the investigation regarding Doku, who has been missing since January 5.
Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had requested an analysis of Abarakov and E.Y.'s entrance and exit to their house between 8 a.m. and 12 a.m. on the day of the incident.
Submitting its analysis to the prosecutor's office, the Tunceli Security Directorate Public Security Branch stated that while Abarakov was seen in the footage, no image of E.Y. could be detected.
According to the minutes, the fixed "AKP 181" camera is far from the apartment building's entrance door and the image was distorted when zoomed, therefore who entered the building could not be identified.
The dome camera No. 185, which is mounted on the ceiling and rotates certain time intervals, did not record the footage of E.Y. when it was pointed at the street direction.
However, E.Y. had said in his statement on January 6 that he was at home on January 5 and started working at 7 p.m.
According to inquiries, Gülistan Doku was seen heading to the direction of Abarakov's house after work on January 4. Abarakov was also seen exiting from the car park of the apartment building where he resides and headed to his car on the same day.

Ali Çimen, Doku family's attorney, told bianet that a number of unlawful incidents have occurred during the investigation.
"The most critical mistake of Gülistan Doku's investigation is that it is carried out by the unit where the suspect's [step] father works. There have been many unlawful incidents due to this mistake. This was not the first, it was previously revealed that additions were made to the testimony of Gülistan's friend D.M." he said.
"Also, Gülistan had a big argument with Zeınal on January 4 that the police intervened in. After this argument, she stayed at the house of H., her professor at the university. Her professor gave a statement on January 6.
"We learned about the argument from this statement. However, the police intervened in it. The statements of the suspect, his mother and father were not included in the minutes. Also, H.'s statement wasn't completely recorded in the minutes."
The attorney also said the fact that Abarakov knew in advance that his phone would be confiscated by the police and his messages were not completely included in the report also show that the Public Security Branch shouldn't have handled the case.
Çimen further said that the footage analysis did not reflect the truth and contradicted E.Y. 's statements.
They made a request for the investigation to be carried out by another unit, the attorney noted. (RT/VK)
