University student Gülistan Doku has been missing in Turkey's eastern Dersim province for 2020 days as of today (July 24).
The expert report on the camera footage featuring the conversation between Gülistan Doku and chief suspect Zeınal Abarakov on January 5, 2020, the day when she got missing, has been completed.
The footage showing the conversation of the two at around 11 a.m. in front of The Route Cafe, where Abarakov was working, was previously sent to the National Criminal Bureau in İstanbul to be examined.
However, as the footage sent there was the third copy, it could not be examined and the Criminal Bureau requested the original footage.
The experts examining the video prepared a report and sent it to the Tunceli (Dersim) Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on July 21.
'He speaks in a warning, insisting manner'
According to the report, Zeınal was talking to Gülistan in a warning and insisting manner. The report also underlines that the conversation between Doku and Abarakov was "not like an ordinary conversation between a man and a women who have just come across on the street."
"Zeınal speaks in a manner leaning over Gülistan"
The report also finds it striking that "...staying inside for five minutes, Doku walked out of the place alone and covered half of the space in the front; then, Abarakov came after her, stopped her and, with a highly insisting posture, he talked to her in a warning-urging manner by leaning over her..."
Recounting the footage further, the report says, "After this conversation, Abarakov turned his back and entered the place while Gülistan Doku left the scene of incident in slow steps, looking sad."

'Three women witnessed the conversation'
The expert report also notes that before this conversation took place, two women working in the same place with Abarakov came there, he greeted them and they talked and probably smoked for some time outside.
"In the meanwhile, Abarakov was explaining something to the women in a heated manner with expansive gestures," the report says and adds:
"After smoking, two women and Zeınal entered the place; afterwards, Gülistan Doku first entered the exterior door at a normal pace and entered the place. These two women and one other woman there must have witnessed what Doku talked to Zeınal and other people inside the place."
Attorney: We requested his arrest for three times
Ali Çimen, the attorney of Doku family, has spoken to bianet about the expert report. He has indicated that the footage consists of two parts, one of them in front of the cafe and the other on the bridge.
Çimen has said that they have raised a third request for Abarakov's arrest based on the expert report and Historical Traffic Search (HTS) records:
"If the suspect is not protected by some person or persons, he has to be absolutely and immediately arrested. Because both the expert report and the reports that we requested from the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) suggest strong criminal suspicion on the part of Zeınal Abarakov. He must be arrested."
'Gülistan didn't sleep until 8.30 in the morning'
"On January 4, Zeınal deforced Gülistan Doku and police officers intervened in the incident as the people there called them. The HTS records added to the file 200 days later have disclosed that Gülistan did not sleep until 8.30 in the morning. She did not sleep until 8.30 a.m.
"Zeınal probably wanted her to come to the cafe and she went there at 11 a.m. After Gülistan entered the cafe, she left it five minutes later, slamming the door. Zeınal came after her, stopped her and talked to her by shouting in a harsh tone. All of this is documented in the expert report.
'Report of the security is deficient'
"There are three other women in the footage. Neither their identities nor their depositions have never been added to the file. The workers of the cafe have never mentioned these three women, either. We requested that these three people at the cafe be identified and their depositions be taken.
"This report has also revealed something else: The report prepared by the security as to the footage in front of the cafe was prepared with deficient minutes, there was no mention of women who saw the incident. It did not mention that Gülistan entered the cafe. This report has disclosed it as well.
'Deficient footage sent to experts'
"The third and fourth copies of the footage were previously sent to the experts. The original one was sent this time, but it was sent deficiently. Not all footage in the file was sent. Only the footage featuring her on the bridge was sent, not the one showing her come to the bridge or leave it, if she did it. We made another request for the missing footage to be sent.
'Statements conflict with HTS records'
"Also, the report as to the HTS records that we requested from the BTK has arrived. The report shows that there are three phone numbers registered under the name of Zeınal's step-father, police officer Engin Y.
"Data as to two numbers have arrived, but the data conflict with the statements of the suspect. We have requested that the prosecutor's office ask the suspect and his family explain this contradiction.
'Police phoned police officer step-father'
"Another important point is this: The HTS records have revealed that when the incident of battery occurred at the night of January 4, the police officers who went to the scene of incident phones step-father Engin Y.
"The police did not mention this in his deposition. While Zeınal was about to be detained, he was not detained, but released.
"Accordingly, we have requested that the deposition of the police be taken again and the officer be asked why he made this phone call and whether the failure to detain Zeınal had anything to do with that phone call." (RT/SD)
