Of Grup Yorum band members, Ali Aracı, İnan Altın, Selma Altın, Sultan Gökçek, Fırat Kıl, Dilan Poyraz and Helin Bölek were arrested by 12th Criminal Judgeship of Peace last night (November 23).

Detained while working at İdil Cultural Center, in which Grup Yorum operates, during the raid, construction worker Abdullah Özgür was arrested as well.
The judgeship ruled house arrest for detained construction workers Musa Varıcı, Cemil Varıcı and Mehmet Varıcı.
In his statement to bianet, attorney Aytaç Ünsal noted that police didn’t have a detention warrant and detained everybody at the cultural center during the raid, which they carried out unlawfully.
“The Grup Yorum members were detained along with the four workers on charge of ‘[illegal] organization membership’”.
They looked for weapon, found magazine
The “evidences” found following the search were listed as follows: Gas mask, workers’ hammer, issues of culture&art magazine “Tavır”, political magazines called Yürüyüş and Kurtuluş, green shirts and green pants.
All those magazines are legally published, Ünsal added. (AS/TK)
