Releasing a statement about the unregistered Syrians and shop signboards not complying with the legislation in İstanbul, the Governorship of İstanbul has announced that 16 thousand 423 migrants have been sent to the repatriation centers in other provinces from July 12 to August 25.

The Governorship has also indicated that the deadline given to Syrians not registered in İstanbul to leave the city has been extended to October 30, 2019. The first deadline set by the Governorship was August 20.
Students can stay in İstanbul
The Governorship has announced that the Syrians registered in other provinces will be registered in İstanbul if they meet the following criteria:
* Students receiving primary and secondary education in İstanbul in 2018-2019 school year and their families,
* Of the families who are registered in İstanbul, their members who are registered in other cities,
* Children who have lost their mothers or fathers and who are in the care of others (orphans),
* Of the Syrians who have investments and provide employment in İstanbul, the owners of enterprises officially in operation three months before their application and their nuclear families,
* Students continuing their university education.
24 thousand 344 workplaces inspected
In its statement, the Governorship has also announced that 24 thousand 344 workplaces have been inspected within the indicated time period.
Accordingly, 12 thousand 224 workplaces have been given guidance services till today to ensıre that the signboards of their shops comply with the legislature. The Governorship has indicated that while signboards of 437 businesses have been brought into conformity with the legislature, the works for 1,681 other businesses still continue. (RT/SD)
