Turkish lira's slide against dollar and gold is caused by "global colonial barons' currency games," according to Presidency's Communications Director Fahrettin Altun.
"Who organized the recent attacks that directly target our economy through currency games are very well-known," he said on Twitter.
Altun's statement came after Turkish lira hit a historic low against the dollar and Euro.
Foreign powers and "barons of the global colonial order" wanted to stop Turkey's rise with "dirty games," according to the director.
Turkey's economic rise and the theses it advocates to make the Mediterranean a region of peace "foiled the games of the bloodsuckers who have spun the wheel of exploitation for years," he further said.
"The state of the Republic of Turkey, which was, with 4.5 points, by far the first in the first quarter growth rates among the G-20 countries, the EU countries and the OECD countries, is not a state that can be made kneel down with perception operations," Altun added.
"Our economy continues to get stronger every day. All economic data, tables, graphics and figures show Turkey's power to everyone, friends and enemies."
Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımız @RTErdogan liderliğinde son 18 yılda büyük bir şahlanış dönemine giren Türkiye'nin yükselişi, dış mihrakların ve küresel sömürü düzeni baronlarının kirli oyunlarıyla inkıtaya uğratılmak istenmektedir.#TürkiyeyeGüveniyorum
