The "third pages" of mainstream newspapers cover incidents of crime around the country. Many of them are cases of gender-based violence and sexual attacks.
Last month, 15 women were killed by men in Turkey.
Most murders carried out by husbands
The details of the cases reveal that of these murders, only three were carried out by non-relatives. Nine husbands, partners or ex-husbands killed their wives, partners or ex-wives. One husband later killed himself.
Two other murders were women killed by their husband's brothers, while one man killed his aunt.
There were sixteen reported cases of rape, among which there was one husband-wife rape and two child abuse cases within the family, one of them with several children and adults involved.

In addition, there have been cases of attempted murder, violence and sexual harrassment, both by strangers and relatives. (EÖ/AG)
