Diyarbakır 2nd Criminal Court of Peace has issued a gag order on the bomb attack on police shuttle in Diyarbakır.
Radio and Television Supreme Council has announced on its website the following statement with regards to the order:
“In order to avoid obstacles in catching the suspects and solving the case by making information on the vehicles used by the suspects and their places of stay public through broadcasts on printed and visual media organs and on the grounds that a risk of disturbance of the public order has become evident, it has been decided to accept the request of the prosecution and and of gag order in accordance with Article 3/2 of the Law No. 5187”.
CLICK - BOMB ATTACK ON POLICE IN DIYARBAKIR
A bomb attack had been launched on police shuttle at around 5 p.m. close to 7th Corps Commandership on Dicle Boulevard in Diyarbakır center.
The Governorship of Diyarbakır had announced that 45 persons had been injured among whom 12 were police officers and that there had been nine police officers and seven suspects in the police shuttle and three persons who had been taken to hospital with severe injuries had lost their lives despite all efforts.
State-run Anadolu Agency (AA) had reported that the three persons in the police vehicle had been taken into custody on suspicion of being member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). (EA/DG)
