Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Mariya Zaharova said “The retribution of being associated with ISIS must be jail term, not resignation” addressing Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who promised to resign in case Turkey’s aid to Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is proven.
According to Sputniknews, Zaharova in a message she shared on Facebook stated reminded Çavuşoğlu’s words that in case Turkey’s aid to ISIS is proven, he is ready to resign, wrote that “You should have done that after Turkey shot down the Russian jet. Besides, the retribution of aiding ISIS is jail term, not resignation.”

Russian Minister of Foreign Affair, Sergey Lavrov in his statement following the International Support Group summit held in Austria’s capital city of Vienna, expressed that Turkey has set a network on Syrian border for ISIS to be sent aid and that they have evidence on that.
Çavuşoğlu upon this said, “I am ready to resign if you have a single evidence showing Turkey aids ISIS”. (YY/TK)
