Project Fraternity Fairy Tales will be in Hatay again after two years.
It is being organized in Hatay after Urfa with refugee mothers, who try to take under wing the children who are subjected to war and various forms of violence at early age.
Children from Turkey and Syria are meeting with fairy tales told in Turkish and Arabic at fairy tale workshops that last three days by hosting of Support to Life Association. While children fictionalize fairy tales together at the workshops in which the traumas of life are forgotten, mothers add new fairy tales to the ones they grew up hearing.
Project’s creator, actress and director Deniz Soruklu Evren describes the workshops as “Stories are the only possible spell because once you see you suffering as a story, then we free ourselves from it in a sense”.
