Public Prosecutor of İstanbul/Bakırköy had issued a warrant for the arrest of former prosecutors Zekeriya Öz and Celal Kara.
Justifications of the decision were “forming illegal organization” and “eliminating the state of the Republic of Turkey by using force”.
Governor of Artvin province (in Black Sea region), Kemal Cirit, announced former prosecutors Celal Kara and Zekeriya Öz went abroad before the court decision but didn’t make a statement about Mehmet Yüzgeç.
The Governor stated prosecutors Öz and Kara went abroad from Sarp Border Gate near Georgia via his twitter account and it was detected that Öz and Kara went Armenia from Georgia. Anadolu Agency published the photo of Öz while going abroad.

Who are the prosecutors?
Zekeriya Öz, previously running Ergenekon investigation had been assigned to Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of İstanbul by taking his special authorities off. On May 12, 2015, Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) stated Öz was dismissed from profession.
Mehmet Öz, previously running December 17,2013, bribery and corruption operation had been assigned to Public Prosecutor of Maraş province and then was dismissed from profession.
Celal Kara, previously running the same operation had been assigned to Public Prosecutor of Afyon province and then was dismissed from profession by HSYK.
The justification of dismissal was “doing harm against the profession with connections, wrongful act and misconduct”. (AS/BD)
