Footage of the armored vehicle, which was driven by sergeant major S.K. and caused death of Pakiza Hazar (85) by hitting her in Turkey’s southeastern district of Lice, Diyarbakır, has entered the case file.
In the footage, Hazar holding a walking stick in her hand is seen trying to get to the pavement through the left side of the armored vehicle, which is parked in front of PTT branch. The vehicle starts moving as Hazar is about to get to the pavement.
The vehicle is seen driving away without stopping after hitting Hazar.
According to a report by Deniz Tekin from Mezopotamya Agency, the armored vehicle called “kirpi” (hedgehog) is crashing Hazar despite the warning of a man who is standing by the roadside.

23 people including eight children died in one year
According to a report by the Human Rights Association's Rights Violations Report 2017, 23 people eight of whom were children were killed by armored vehicle or civilian police vehicle hitting; 26 people including six children, one police and three soldiers were injured by armored vehicle crashing.
At least 10 people lost their lives in the incidents in which military or police vehicles were involved from April 27, 2016 to December 30, 2017 in Diyarbakır.
Diyarbakır Bar called on the officials to launch an effective investigation. (AS/TK)
