Director Ferit Karahan's movie "Brother's Keeper" (Okul Tıraşı) has won the Best Director Award in the 28th Palić European Film Festival.
More than 130 films were screened during the festival that took place in Serbia's Palić and Subotica between July 17 and 23.

Karahan's movie was previously granted the FIPRESCI Award in the 71st Berlin International Film Festival, the Award for Best Scenario the 38th Fajr Film Festival and the Moon of Valencia Award for Best Feature at the 36th Valencia International Film Festival.
Brother's Keeper tells the story of a child who wants to take his ill roommate to the hospital but is hindered by the bureaucracy of the school, the callousness of the school administrators and difficult geographic conditions. (AÖ/VK)
