Feminist Forum will be held from May 11 to May 13 in capital city of Ankara.
Feminist Forum’18 where sexuality will be discussed, calls for focusing on sexualities which have been constantly re-discussed from Ottoman to Tanzimat Reform Era, from Early Republic to the present.
Feminist Forum’18 is being hosted by Women’s Solidarity Foundation, Ayizi Publishing, Kader Ankara, GEN-DER Collective of Gender Studies, and Association of Women with Disabilities.
Some essentialist approaches, which assume that there is one ideal sexuality that characterizes most of the binary thought systems about sexuality.
The forum urges people to focus on some limitations in discussions of feminism and sexuality, women in men’s clothes and organization of new possibilities. (YT/BK/TK)
