10 construction workers who died on Saturday due to a lift fall has been sent to their hometown for burial.
The workers were from Giresun, Gumushane, Dersim, İstanbul, Bursa, Sivas, Zonguldak and Manisa.
Some was collecting pocket money for school, some saving to marry and most of them miles away from their family.
Families of deceased workers bid their last goodbyes.
Cengiz Tatoğlu was buried in his hometown, Zonguldak. Tatoğlu's 40-year-old wife by the grave along with their daughter Ceren.
The funeral of Hıdır Ali Genç (21) was buried in his hometown, Dersim's Pertek district. Junior at Tunceli University Finance Department, Genç was from Söğütlütepe village where most of his relatives and acquaintances attended the funeral.
The funeral of Tahir and Ferdi Kara brothers was buried in their hometown of Gümüşhane. Their father was working at the same construction site.
Murat Usta's funeral was buried in his hometown of Dereli town of Giresun. Mother of Usta, Gülüşan Usta tried to console other relatives.
Menderes Meşe's funeral was held in Eşikli village, Sivas province.
İsmail Sarıtaş's funeral was held in Sarıgazi Cemevi and burried in Yenidoğan Cemetery.
The funeral of Vahdet Biçer (28) was held in Manisa's Akhisar district.
Cengiz Bilgi (30) was buried in Bursa.
It turned out that Bilal Bal started working at the construction site for helping his family and saving up for his wedding. (NV/BM)
